Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is traditionally the largest and most diverse in all Engineering disciplines. The structure of the 4year bachelors program is continuously modified to fulfill the needs of the graduate to meet the requirements of the profession. The curriculum offers courses with various degrees of emphasis on theory, design, experimental work and computer simulation. Subject matter ranges from semiconductors and Electromagnetic to circuits, Electronics, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics and Control Systems etc.
The program is designed to equip the graduates through rigorous instruction and experiment with the necessary skills and knowledge to model, analyze and solve complex engineering problems. It maintains strong ties to industry and is dedicated to preparing students for careers in GENCOS, TRANSCO, DISCOMS, POWER GRIDS and Electrical equipment Manufacturing Companies. The department imparts state of the art education and encourages cutting edge research.
It offers UG program, PG program in PSCA. It has well equipped Laborites and they have been facilitated for the Students& research Scholars. The department is actively engaged in conducting various programs for the faculty and students with the grants of AICTE etc.
